Benzac AC?? products contain an Acrylates Copolymer. Acrylates Copolymer are tiny highly porous beads. That are so porous they can absorb up to four times their own weight in fluid. They soak up certain liquids quickly and easily, but are selective about what they can absorb. They can rapidly absorb oils, however, they can?????t absorb water because water has a very high surface tension. The other AC ingredient is glycerin. This lubricates the skin, imparting a feeling of smoothness and softness.
INDICATION: For use as an aid in the treatment of acne.
Directions and Ingredients
Always begin acne therapy with either the 2.5% or 5% Benzac.
Apply to affected areas once or twice daily or as directed by your doctor.
Each gram contains: Active: benzoyl peroxide 25mg/g; Inactives: docusate sodium, disodium edetate, poloxamer 182, carbomer 940, propylene glycol, acrylates copolymer, glycerol, silicon dioxide and purified water, citric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH.
